Through the kind donations of EP Boosters Club, Covington Skilled Nursing, The Meadows at Covington, and EPHS Pep Club we were able to purchase and install new state of the art digital record boards. Thank you to the donors for their support of the students of East Palestine School District.

Scavenger Hunt! Spanish 1 students roamed the hall reading about famous Spanish-speaking people. They used a list of clues to find information about authors, artists, politicians, singers, athletes, scientists, actors, and activists.

We have finally finished the school courtyard project and would like to thank all of those that helped make it possible! Donations for the courtyard came from the following: sixty landscaping blocks from R.I. Lampus via Town n Country, LLC, 4 tons of gravel from Town n Country, LLC, and plants from Parks Garden Center along with additional donations from Mrs. Fink and Mrs. Best. Also, Mr. Eggleston helped create the rain barrels, Mrs. Cienik made and donated the boxes for the trees and fill soil, Snyder's Orchard donated apple trees, and the Bulldog Cafe helped with the gravel and donated picnic tables. Many hours were devoted to cleaning, weeding, preparing, planting, and finishing the courtyard by the EPMS Science Club, café crew, and teaching staff (Best, Fink, Wertz, Randolph, Miller, and Hacker). Thank you!

Today, 5th graders in Science class are playing "Oh Deer", a game that simulates deer in the wild and how they are affected by limiting factors such as food, water and space.

5th Graders are learning the importance of organizing their class materials and the progression of standards in Math class.

¿Tienes hambre? Are you feeling hungry? Would you like to try an old sushi milkshake or cockroach sprinkles on ice cream? Spanish 2 students created disgusting restaurant menus and then chose what they would and would not eat from each restaurant.

This school year graduating seniors who meet the minimum qualifications will have the opportunity to receive a 4-H Honor Cord as a distinction during commencement. The application with deadline information can be found in the high school guidance office. The presentation of the 4-H Honor Cord allows students to be commended for the service, leadership, and knowledge gained throughout their 4-H career. Please see Mr. Cyrus or Mr. Rook about the possibility of adding this cord to your awards at the end of the school year.

Students in Mrs. Spanos' psychology classes are studying how psychologists conduct research through various methods. They've watched case studies, done surveys, and today they got to practice the concept of a single-blind experiment by conducting a lab in which volunteer participants had to make guesses on foods, drinks and even artwork!
