Our Building Trades students recently had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and onto a real job site with HSH Drywall!

Students visited their current project with Goodwill in East Liverpool, where they learned more about what goes into a construction project of this size and scope. From the planning process to the work happening on site, students were able to see the building trades in action and connect what they’re learning in the classroom to the real world.

Even better, HSH Drywall is helping open additional doors for our students by offering job-shadowing opportunities across a variety of trades. Experiences like these give our students a chance to explore career pathways, ask questions, gain hands-on insight and begin building connections within the industry.

We’re grateful that they are investing in the next generation of skilled trades professionals!

Ever wonder where the funding for our schools comes from?

Like school districts across Ohio, East Palestine Schools are funded through a combination of state, local, federal, and other non-tax revenue sources. But the share coming from each source can look very different from one district to another.

Today’s Fast Fact Friday takes a closer look at where East Palestine’s revenue comes from and how it compares with similar districts and the statewide average.

Check out the graphic to take a closer look.

A quick reminder for everyone using our campus, especially during afternoon pickup:

The East Palestine Police Department has notified us that they will be enforcing the laws regarding designated accessible parking spaces. These spaces may only be used by vehicles displaying the proper disability placard, accessible license plate, or other qualifying documentation.

We know parking can get busy at the end of the school day, but please help us keep these spaces open for the individuals who truly need them. Parking in an accessible space without the proper authorization is against Ohio law and may result in enforcement action.

If you have questions about accessible parking or enforcement, please contact the East Palestine Police Department directly.

Thank you for helping us keep our campus accessible for everyone!

We loaded up the bus and headed to the Mahoning Valley College Fair!

Our Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to get face-to-face with representatives from more than 70 colleges and universities, asking questions, exploring their options and getting a better look at what could be waiting for them after graduation.

Whether they already have a plan or are still figuring it out, experiences like this help our students see just how many paths are available to them after high school. And sometimes, the first step is simply discovering what’s out there!
