Even though we miss having everyone in the halls, the weather isn't cooperating just yet. East Palestine Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, January 28th. We’re building quite the streak here - stay warm & safe, EP!

East Palestine Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th, due to the extreme cold. Stay safe, stay cozy, and we'll see you when the thermometer climbs back up!

Wait... did someone say a snow day tomorrow?
You heard it right, Bulldogs! Due to the winter storm, East Palestine City Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, January 26th. Stay safe!
**All athletic events and practices are canceled as well**
Our mass messaging system is currently moving a bit slower than the snow! While calls and texts have been sent to all staff and families, they seem to be stuck in a "digital holding pattern." We sincerely apologize if this social media post is the first way you’re hearing about tomorrow's closure—we’re working to get those alerts through to your phones as quickly as possible!
Wrestling Update!
The wrestling tournament scheduled for this Saturday (1/24/2026) at EPHS has been canceled due to the severe cold weather expected that morning.

Some of our EPHS students were hard at work mastering life-saving skills! These Bulldogs were participating in American Heart Association CPR training to earn their official certifications.
Not only are they learning how to respond in an emergency, but these certifications also count as vital credentials toward their high school graduation. We are so proud of their commitment to their futures and our community!

The Friends of the Library are back with their annual Souper Bowl Day, and you’re invited! February 7th at 2 p.m.
Bring a pot of your favorite soup to share, along with the recipe. The Friends will be collecting all the entries to create a special take-home recipe booklet for everyone!
They are honored to welcome this year’s guest speakers: EP football legends Owen and John Jurjavcic. The library will handle the beverages, desserts, and paper products—all they need is you (and your soup!). Call the library to register today: (330) 426-3778

Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the cozy day at home!

What makes East Palestine special? Our people.
This past weekend, our community came together to celebrate the latest class of inductees into the Distinguished Hall of Fame—individuals who represent the very best of Bulldog pride, hard work, and dedication.
The celebration kicked off Friday night at center court during the boys' basketball game, where the crowd gave a warm homecoming welcome to our honorees. The festivities continued Saturday with a beautiful Induction Luncheon, where we shared stories of the legacies these legends have built.
Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2026: ⭐ The 2009 4x100m State Champion Team (Dalton Cope, Jeff Farkas, Trevor Patterson, Shane Peterson & Coach Jim Young) ⭐ Alexandra Casi ⭐ Lori Montgomery-Cascio ⭐ Mrs. Elma Sutherin ⭐ Sgt. Robert Wirks ⭐ DJ Yokley
To our inductees: Thank you for showing our students what is possible with Bulldog spirit.
To our community: Thank you for showing up to honor these incredible individuals and making this weekend so memorable.

"Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education." — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, East Palestine Schools joins the nation in honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are committed to fostering an environment where every student is empowered to think critically and act with kindness.
As there is no school today, we encouraged our Bulldogs to use this "day on" to reflect on how they can serve their neighbors and build a brighter future for our community.

This time of year, we know students have an increased chance of latching on to the germs that viciously circulate. Staying at home to recover is part of the process.
But if your student is absent, give the school office a quick call! Communication is key!
