Recently, our Middle School and High School art teacher, Mrs. Goodchild, had an article published in High School Art magazine (April 2021) about her teaching practices during the pandemic. It is very clear that Mrs. Goodchild's creativity in the classroom goes beyond just teaching students art. Congratulations, Mrs. Goodchild!

Also, this past week students in Mrs. Miller’s class completed industry credential training to receive their Rise Up certification. With this certification, students are expanding their graduation portfolio and some students may be eligible for pay increases at their current places of employment.

Hello Bulldog Families. The Nutrition Group and the Bulldog Cafeterias would like to know how we are doing in the eyes of the parents. Please take a moment to fill out the brief cafeteria survey. We look forward to hearing from you. Find the survey here: https://tinyurl.com/w8s8sb88

This past week, students in Mrs. Neider’s 8th grade Social Studies classes completed an "Escape Room," where they had to analyze 8 scenarios to determine which Bill of Rights amendment was being violated. The first one to crack the code got a prize. Hayley Eckert and Jahirra Harris were the winners.

East Palestine Senior Payton Sherry has officially signed with the West Liberty University girls golf program as a scholarship athlete .

EPES Alarm
I want to make everyone aware that we had an unexpected fire alarm this morning at approximately 9:30am. We quickly and safely evacuated the building to the HS gym. The fire dept. cleared the alarm and found that an air handler motor had siezed up and overheated on the second floor. The students were bussed back to the elementary school by 10am and we are back to business as usual.
To help jump start the new Way Station location in East Palestine, our students collected and donated a trunk load of items to the store.

If you take one look at Mrs. Wagner’s classroom at the middle school, it is very easy to see a passionate educator who is exceptional at what she does for our students.

We are looking for people to work track meets this upcoming season. We need more officials for all our track meet. This is due to officials choosing not to work meets because of Covid-19 concerns. We pay $20 a meet. Please contact Cindy Dunn @ Cindy.dunn@myepschools.org if interested. Refer to images for schedules.

Meet, Mr. Baker. Mr. Baker is a new member of our high school teaching staff this school year. Currently, Mr. Baker teaches Geometry and Algebra 2. This past winter, Mr. Baker coached our 7th grade boys basketball team to a runner-up finish in the EOAC. Previously, Mr. Baker taught in North Carolina but he is originally from the Mahoning Valley. Mr. Baker has been an excellent addition to our teaching staff. If you see him around the high school or basketball court, please say hello and welcome him to East Palestine Schools.
