Leadership Columbiana County (LCC) has been developing leaders since 1999 by providing opportunities to explore the diverse industries, leaders, and organizations that are helping Columbiana County grow and serve others. Launched in 2017, the Junior Leadership Columbiana County program continues this mission by providing classroom and hands-on experience to develop informed and responsible citizens who are future leaders of Columbiana County. Three high school students from East Palestine, Emily Berger, Payton Sherry, and Morgan Cheurco, applied and were selected to participate in the program this school year.
Reminder: Please join us tomorrow evening, Wednesday, October 30, at 5:30 pm at Kent State University-Salem Campus for College Credit Plus (CCP) Information Night. After a general session presented by the university, Mr. Cyrus will have a classroom reserved to answer your specific questions. Students planning to enroll in CCP for the first time should plan to bring a parent to this meeting.

Scavenger Hunt! Spanish 1 students roamed the hall reading about famous Spanish-speaking people. They used a list of clues to find information about authors, artists, politicians, singers, athletes, scientists, actors, and activists.
Through the kind donations of EP Boosters Club, Covington Skilled Nursing, The Meadows at Covington, and EPHS Pep Club we were able to purchase and install new state of the art digital record boards. Thank you to the donors for their support of the students of East Palestine School District.
We have finally finished the school courtyard project and would like to thank all of those that helped make it possible! Donations for the courtyard came from the following: sixty landscaping blocks from R.I. Lampus via Town n Country, LLC, 4 tons of gravel from Town n Country, LLC, and plants from Parks Garden Center along with additional donations from Mrs. Fink and Mrs. Best. Also, Mr. Eggleston helped create the rain barrels, Mrs. Cienik made and donated the boxes for the trees and fill soil, Snyder's Orchard donated apple trees, and the Bulldog Cafe helped with the gravel and donated picnic tables. Many hours were devoted to cleaning, weeding, preparing, planting, and finishing the courtyard by the EPMS Science Club, café crew, and teaching staff (Best, Fink, Wertz, Randolph, Miller, and Hacker). Thank you!
Today, 5th graders in Science class are playing "Oh Deer", a game that simulates deer in the wild and how they are affected by limiting factors such as food, water and space.
