This past week, Mrs. Fink’s 8th grade science class learned about mitosis and meiosis. In this activity, students worked their way through the hallway and around the classroom to match vocabulary terms, definitions, and pictures. As they ventured around, they recorded their answers onto their activity sheet.

Congratulations to our Middle School Genius Project Team for placing 1st out of 20 schools in the hype video category at the annual Genius Rally!

The East Palestine Board of Education will be returning to an in-person format beginning with the April 5th regular meeting. Regular monthly meetings of the School Board are normally held the first Monday of each month in the Elementary Media Center. Those attending are asked to continue to wear masks and observe social distancing practices.

Within the past 24 hours, the high school was notified that 3 of our students have tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the high school administration conducted contact tracing and individually notified those students and their parents who would be considered close contacts of these positive cases. The most recent protocols for quarantining students were followed with the assistance of staff from Akron Children’s Hospital. All high school students, regardless of their contact with COVID-19 positive students, will receive the linked letter below tomorrow morning notifying them of this information. If you should have any questions about our COVID-19 protocols and procedures, please contact your child’s school. https://5il.co/r484
