
Reminder: Thursday, February 17, 2022 is an early release day for all students in the East Palestine City School District to allow for Parent Teacher Conferences. Bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly. The East Palestine City School District will be closed on Friday, February 18th, and Monday, February 21st. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 22nd.

Mrs. Wertz’s 5th grade science students had a fun time learning about sound through a class experiment using tuning forks! By the end of class, the students were able to explain Ohio’s Learning Standards for Science 5.PS.2 on how sound is produced by vibrating objects and requires a medium through which to travel. 🧬🎶

Thank you, Mrs. Sherry, for organizing an initiative where EPMS students created Valentine's Day cards for our neighbors living in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities in town! 💕🌹 Our students created beautiful cards and learned a valuable life lesson of paying tribute to their local elders.

The MS girls and boys basketball tournament scheduled to start tonight (2/2) has been postponed til next week. Schedule is still TBD.

On January 27, 2022 the Ohio Department of Health changed the guidelines for COVID-19 related to contact tracing. The guidance states that schools no longer need to perform contact tracing of students or staff after a positive case is reported. Read more here: https://5il.co/152iq
