Participation in the Vaccine Clinic is completely optional and requires parent/guardian consent by October 22nd!
EPES: Flu shots will be available.

Our preschoolers had a great time learning about fire safety today! They explored the big red fire truck, climbed inside, and watched the ladder rise high into the air.
The most important lesson was to not be afraid when they hear the smoke alarm or see a firefighter in their protective uniform. They learned to get out and stay out—and if they cannot get outside, sit next to a closed window so firefighters can quickly find them!
A very special thank-you to the East Palestine Fire Department for taking the time to visit with our youngest Bulldogs and helping them learn these important safety lessons in a way they can understand. We are so grateful for the time you spent educating our students and for everything you do to keep our students, families, and community safe.

Every year, our 8th graders visit the Columbiana County Career & Technical Center (CCCTC) to explore the wide range of technical and career programs available to them. Hands-on experiences like this help our students discover their interests early and make confident, informed decisions about their high school pathways and future careers.
We may be a few days late, but we’re not about to let National Custodian Day pass without giving our custodial team a BIG thank-you!

Our Building Trades students recently had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and onto a real job site with HSH Drywall!
Students visited their current project with Goodwill in East Liverpool, where they learned more about what goes into a construction project of this size and scope. From the planning process to the work happening on site, students were able to see the building trades in action and connect what they’re learning in the classroom to the real world.
Even better, HSH Drywall is helping open additional doors for our students by offering job-shadowing opportunities across a variety of trades. Experiences like these give our students a chance to explore career pathways, ask questions, gain hands-on insight and begin building connections within the industry.
We’re grateful that they are investing in the next generation of skilled trades professionals!

The East Palestine Police Department has notified us that they will be enforcing the laws regarding designated accessible parking spaces. These spaces may only be used by vehicles displaying the proper disability placard, accessible license plate, or other qualifying documentation.
We know parking can get busy at the end of the school day, but please help us keep these spaces open for the individuals who truly need them. Parking in an accessible space without the proper authorization is against Ohio law and may result in enforcement action.

Our Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to get face-to-face with representatives from more than 70 colleges and universities, asking questions, exploring their options and getting a better look at what could be waiting for them after graduation.
Whether they already have a plan or are still figuring it out, experiences like this help our students see just how many paths are available to them after high school. And sometimes, the first step is simply discovering what’s out there!

Every school year, a new group of 4th graders steps into the role of PAC Members. Our EPES Principal’s Advisory Council (PAC) is giving students a voice and an opportunity to lead!
Students interested in joining PAC complete an application explaining why they would like to be a part of the council. Both the parent and the teacher then sign the application as they take on this leadership opportunity.
Meeting every 2–3 weeks, PAC members work together to share ideas, listen to one another, and help make our school an even better place. Students are expected to be leaders who participate, follow meeting norms, and bring what they learn back to their classrooms.
We’re proud to see our students stepping up, speaking up, and learning that leadership starts with making a difference right where you are!

Our Bulldogs brought home some big honors at the 2026 Johnny Appleseed Festival Art Competition!
EPHS senior Lacie Brown earned Best of Show (Johnny’s Choice) for her artwork, earning a cash prize and the exciting opportunity to have her design featured on next year’s Johnny Appleseed Festival shirts! What a fantastic accomplishment!
And the recognition didn’t stop there! Eighth-grader Brooklynn Barr earned 1st place in her age group, while seventh-grader Chezna Rettig and fifth-grader Daxton Vitko each earned 3rd place in their respective age groups.
We’re so proud of these four talented Bulldogs and the creativity they shared from our community!

Value-Added measures the growth students demonstrate from year to year on Ohio’s state tests. This achievement is a reflection of the intentional work happening throughout our district to create the conditions, programs, and support our students need to succeed.
Growth matters. And our Bulldogs are growing!

Our 8th-grade students in Mr. Kunselman’s Work-Based Learning class are exploring the Manufacturing Pathway, recently learning about careers as CNC operators.
To bring that learning to life, students visited our woodshop to see our district’s CNC machine in action. They got an up-close look at how the machine is programmed, watched it create a product, and even saw the finished product for themselves!
Hands-on experiences like this help students connect what they’re learning in the classroom to real careers and the technology used in today’s manufacturing industry.
