Our 8th-grade STEM class enhanced their solar energy unit with a sweet treat: solar-oven s'mores!
Students put science into action by building and optimizing their own solar ovens. This hands-on project required them to apply real-world principles of insulation and energy capture to cook their treats using only the sun's power.
This lesson is a fantastic example of how our STEM curriculum uses experiential learning to make science engaging and, in this case, quite delicious!

Who doesn't love a good game of charades? Mrs. Moeller's 6th grade ELA classes took the opportunity to act out various character traits to go along with their lesson on characterization. We love interactive lessons!

Annually, our 8th-grade students take a trip to explore all that the Columbiana County Career & Technical Center (CCCTC) has to offer. This essential trip allows students to explore the diverse technical and career programs available to them in the coming years. We believe these experiences are vital for helping students make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.

**Learn to Teach - Teach to Learn**

This monthly after-school program has gained significant popularity, thanks to the collaborative efforts of EPMS, EPACT, and the East Palestine Memorial Public Library. It provides students with the opportunity to learn a skill and then teach it to others. September's event featured fabric keychain wristlets, instructed by Mrs. Carolyn Wilson. Thank you to everyone who attended and assisted in the fun!
