Students put science into action by building and optimizing their own solar ovens. This hands-on project required them to apply real-world principles of insulation and energy capture to cook their treats using only the sun's power.
This lesson is a fantastic example of how our STEM curriculum uses experiential learning to make science engaging and, in this case, quite delicious!

This monthly after-school program has gained significant popularity, thanks to the collaborative efforts of EPMS, EPACT, and the East Palestine Memorial Public Library. It provides students with the opportunity to learn a skill and then teach it to others. September's event featured fabric keychain wristlets, instructed by Mrs. Carolyn Wilson. Thank you to everyone who attended and assisted in the fun!
Get ready for next month's activity, which will be making pumpkin bread!
