This is Dr. Rook calling from East Palestine Schools with several important dates and reminders as we get ready to begin the 2025-26 school year.
First, the first day of school for high school students attending the career center this year is set for Monday, August 18. If career center students have any questions about school this year, they are encouraged to contact the career center or our high school office.
Second, the annual 5th-grade Rise & Shine event will take place on Tuesday, August 19, beginning at 9:00 am. If you have questions about this event, please contact the middle school office.
Third, Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20. Freshman and new students to the high school have the option to attend the 1:00 pm or 5:00 pm session.
Fourth, the school district will host its annual Open House in each school building on Thursday, August 21, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Next, the annual Back to School Bash and Meet the Team event is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, at 4:00 pm on the school district campus. We hope that everyone can join us for another fun-filled event to start the school year.
Finally, the first day of school for students is set for Monday, August 25. As a reminder, kindergarten through 4th-grade students will operate on a staggered start. Parents should have received information in the mail earlier this month, which indicated their student’s start date. If you have questions about your elementary school student’s start date, please contact the elementary school office.
