I wanted to share some information about a couple of upcoming events:
On Friday November 10, our school district will observe Veterans Day. We invite all local veterans and their special guests to join us for breakfast and fellowship at 9am at the First Church of Christ. Afterwards, Veterans are asked to take part in our parade at 10:30am, from the comfort of their cars, weather permitting. Everyone in our community is encouraged to watch the parade to honor our Veterans, as it moves from the First Church of Christ, up Market Street and onto West Grant street, where all students will be waiting to cheer and salute our Veterans. Akron Children's Hospital- School Health Services is working with your child’s school to give the annual influenza (Flu) vaccine to children on November 13, 2023, Flu clinics will be offered at school during school hours. Participation is voluntary and available to ALL consented students, regardless of their insurance coverage. Please fill out the consent form by November 9, 2023 for your child to participate in the vaccine clinic. The form is available on the district website and in FinalForms.
East Palestine Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving Break from Wednesday, November 22nd through Monday, November 27th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 28th.
