East Palestine City Schools will again be utilizing “Blizzard Bags” this school year. This program allows the district to use time out of the classroom due to emergency or weather related cancellations as traditional class days. The district has been granted the use of the hourly equivalent of up to three additional days in order to provide our students with learning opportunities that would otherwise be lost.
- Students will be directed when blizzard bags will go into effect. (This will begin when the district has cancelled the hourly equivalent of 5 full school days).
- All work is due 2 weeks (14 days) from the date assigned. (Ex: If a calamity day occurs on March 1, Blizzard Bag assignments are due no later than March 15.)
- Students without printers at home can print the materials at school or ask the teacher for paper copies.
