KSU CCP Checklist

Applying for College Credit Plus at Kent State University:

a. Meet with your school counselor to discuss your CCP opportunities
b. Attend a CCP Information Night in your school district between October 1st and February 15th
c. Submit the “Letter of Intent” by April 1st in order to participate in CCP during the following Summer, Fall, and/or Spring semesters
d. Take the ACT or SAT
o Must be completed prior to the application deadline; Writing portion is not required
o Request your scores be sent to Kent State University (ACT Code is 3284)
o ACT Residual can be taken at Kent State University’s Kent Campus or Stark Campus (fees
apply)
e. Submit the online CCP application at www.kent.edu/ccp prior to the application deadline
f. Read, sign, and submit the CCP Permission Form, found on CCP website, to the Admissions Office
g. Request your official middle school or high school transcript from your school counselor to be submitted to the Admissions Office on the Kent State University campus to which you are applying


After You Have Been Admitted and Before Course Registration:
a. Read and follow the instructions in your acceptance letter
b. Log in to your FlashLine account and read your KSU emails
c. Take any required placement assessments for the courses you intend to take
d. Complete your required Kent State University CCP Orientation


Kent Campus Students
a. New students must complete an online orientation and register to attend the required on campus orientation
b. Summer 2019 Students: May 2nd
c. Fall 2019 Students: July 22nd – 26th
d. Returning students must complete an online orientation and schedule an advising appointment
e. Discuss how you are to obtain textbooks with your school counselor


What is College Credit Plus (CCP)?
College Credit Plus was created by the Ohio Legislature to establish a way for qualifying Ohio
students in grades 7-12 (including public, private, or home schooled) to enroll at a college or university to earn both high school and college credit.


Preferred Kent State Admissions Requirements:
3.0+ Cumulative GPA
21 ACT composite score or 1130 SAT combined math and reading score
Meet State Remediation Free Standards


Application Deadlines:
Summer semester- April 1st
Fall semester- May 1st
Spring semester- October 1st
